What's going through your mind Melania? Both Dems and Republicans are a bit confused by Melania Trump's wardrobe on her trip to see detained migrant children in Texas.
On Thursday, FLOTUS stepped out in front of the press wearing a green hooded jacket with the words, “I really don’t care, do u?” on the back.
The $39 Zara jacket is a step down from her usually expensive choices. But, the back of the coat back is worth a thousand words. Everyone in the world is questioning what Melania was trying to say with her statement. Is she sending a message to the immigrants? Is she sending a message to the media who harass her? According to her spokeswoman, Stephanie Grisham, “It’s a jacket. There was no hidden message.”
“After today’s important visit to Texas, I hope this isn’t what the media is going to choose to focus on,” continued Grisham.
FLOTUS may never say what her exact intentions were when she put on the jacket. But, it's certainly easy to suspect that it got one point across. Melania really does not care. She doesn't care that the world is talking about the jacket. And, we can guess that she doesn't care what the world thinks about the message.
In past interviews, FLOTUS has stated that she is an independent woman who often disagrees with her husband. She's not the most public First Lady in history and she's definitely not the most political. Most people would argue that her independence is exactly why her ratings are so high. At the end of the day, this woman has her own personality and she doesn't care what people think. Maybe, she's the voice that the East Wing has needed for so many years.
