The war between Donald Trump and 'fake news' outlets is underway and the President-elect has named Buzzfeed and CNN as his biggest enemies.
During a recent press conference, Mr. Trump was applauded for denying questions from CNN and calling Buzzfeed "a failing pile of garbage."
Mr. Trump singled out the two networks after they released vile, unverifiable, and false reports saying the FBI had a memo detailing his involvement with Russian escorts. Donald tweeted his concerns about the fake memo comparing the reporting to the propaganda of Nazi Germany. He later backed this notion telling the media that the handling of the story was a "disgrace."
Following the press conference, CNN immediately scrambled to distance themselves from Buzzfeed with a bogus twitter statement.
"CNN’s decision to publish carefully sourced reporting about the operations of our government is vastly different than BuzzFeed’s decision to publish unsubstantiated memos," tweeted CNN Communications.
Buzzfeed's editor admitted that there are some serious reasons to doubt the information in the report. Yet, they decided to publish the supposed "memo" regardless of its accuracy. The Executive Editor of the New York Times also said the memo was "totally unsubstantiated." If the memo was inaccurate then why publish it?
There's no denying it, the media is attempting to take down Mr. Trump by any means necessary! Fortunately, Donald is brave enough to step up to the podium and shut down networks that attempt to sway the truth. His response has sent shockwaves throughout the media community. Could this story finally convince networks to change their tune? Or, will Donald have to battle with CNN for months to come?
